Battle of Iława : ウィキペディア英語版
Battle of Iława

The Battle of Ilawa was a battle that took place near the town of Iława (German: Eylau), on May 25, 1455, during the Thirteen Years' War.
In the spring of 1455, the Teutonic Knights began a new campaign in Lower Prussia (the area of Königsberg), which had been controlled by Polish forces. Local population disliked the Poles, who imposed high taxes, and supported the army headed by Grand Master Heinrich Reuss von Plauen.
Von Plauen’s mercenaries began a siege of the Baltic Sea port of Kneiphof, defeded by pro-Polish rebels. Poles decided to send reinforcements to Keiphof, but their army, commanded by Jan Bazynski was defeated by the Teutonic Knights near Iława, on May 25. Kneiphof capitulated on July 14, 1455.
